The Hot Seat Interview: HAZE ON DECK

Wutzbuzzin gzzz, I got a chance to get in contact with my guy Yung Haze and we chopped it up for a few. His music has that club banger sound to it which is a good look cause every club wants to see the dance floor packed, heres how the interview went down:

Q: What’s ya name and where are you from?
A: Yung Haze and im from Atlanta(East Atlanta/Decatur to be exact)
Q: Who and what motivated you to be  who you are today?
A: My Parents & the passing of my grandmother a little under 2 years ago motivate me, as far as what..knowing that im being myself, but yet still different motivates me as well
Q: What made you get into music?
A: I grew up in church…i learned how to play 4 instruments (piano, drums, guitar, & bass) all by ear by the age of 14..i started off as a producer but eventually picked up a pen and was surprised at the outcome and the reaction of my peers
Q: If ya life was a movie what would be the sound track?
A: lol thats a good question, but if i had to choose one track i would have to say “Its My Time” by Fabolous & Jeremih
Q: Some people feel like u one of the best rappers out right now , how does that feel?
A: I mean im only startin, being compared or stated as one of the best is pretty encouraging, but my main focus is just to speak from the heart and keep it in the vicinity where normal people like myself,my family, friends, and supporters can really relate to
Q: Do you feel like more money more problems or more money less problems?
A: It works both ways…When the gold diggers/the government and a few others see you with money all of a sudden they all love you,but were nowhere around when you had nothing..but its also makes less problems..if you look at that it allows you to better your community and rebuild things you couldnt when you didnt have the money
Q: Do you consider your self as industry or a in the streets artist?
A: I consider myself as what i call a “The Peoples Choice” Artist..i try my best to make sure everyone can relate to my music
Q: Do you have any regrets in life and if so what would you have done differently?
A: No, Everything that happened…happened for a reason, and got me to where i am now
Q: Name 5 artist that you feel buzzin right now.
A: Drake
Wale
J Cole
Eminem is on a comeback
Lil Wayne now that hes out
Q: In the next 2-3 years where would you. like to see ya self as a artist?
A: Hopefully being heard worldwide and not just in the U.S.
Q: Do you have any other interest besides music?
A: Im in the Army so i guess you can say im interested in protecting my country lol
Q: When. it’s all said and done what do you want to be remembered for?
A: I want to be remembered for being a person who never brought negative energy, someone who made sure everyone who he came across he left a lasting positive impression..Life is too short to beef with anyone, but unfortunately everyone doesnt think that way

For the past month I’ve been going around trying to get in touch with all artist that are on the grind, trying to make it from the street lights to the lime light is my motto for it. I was fortunate enough to catch up with the homey Yung Stat to do a Hot Seat Interview, heres how it went down:

Q: What’s ya name and where are you from?

A: Yung Stat coming out of Staten Island New York

Q: Who and what motivated you to be  who you are today?

Q: What made you get into music?

A: I never got into the whole rhyming thing till I was 16 with a few of my boys slugz yung vet and bundles. as a side hobby while we cut classes in high school.we had a little rap group called problem childs

Q: If ya life was a movie what would be the sound track?

Q: Some people feel like u one of the best rappers out right now , how does that feel?

A: I really don’t focused on being the best or nun of that I just do what I do you digg. I feel like I’m far from being the best at this point in time but I’m on the way tho so check ya rear view mirrors

A: Problems is there regardless but from the lifestyle I come from is definatly more money more problems

Q: Do you consider your self as industry or a in the streets artist?

A: I consider my self a hip hop artist. But if I gotta choose one imma choose a street rapper. This day and age you gotta sell ya soul to be a industry rapper it don’t go by lyrical skills anymore

Hue Hefna

Q: In the next 2-3 years where would you like to see yaself as a artist?

A: The next 2 or 3 years hopefully I have a deal by then but if not imma keep focused I should be the top underground artist helping to bring staten island some shine that its been missing since the Wu

Q: Do you have any other interest besides music?

A: interest besides music … I’m big on sports I be on that espn like its cnn ..besides that I just be coolin gettin faded and just lovin life

Q: When it’s all said and done what do you want to be remembered for?

A: I wanna be remembered as the greatest and most influental hip hop artist to come out of staten island. No disrespect to nobody its all love but at the same time I put in work for years tryin to earn my spot with gorillas in this concrete jungle. You either gon respect it or try ya luck
